Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival April 2005
The TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival is a 10-day annual celebration of snowsports held in Whistler , B.C.
The festival focuses on music, arts and mountain life. The Festival includes pro ski and snowboard competitions, free concerts everyday, film and photography exposes, family activities, demo days, a dog parade and an adventure zone plus some of the best spring skiing and riding on the planet!
There is no admission fee to take part in the TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival. Many of the events are free!
Free events include the daily concerts on the DKNY//JEANS concert stage and in the clubs during Kokanee Freeride, the Ripzone Snowboard Invitational Big Air, the Salomon Big Air during the World Skiing Invitational, the Adventure Village, the Whistler DogFest and many other activities, events and showcases throughout the Village walkways.
The Ripzone Snowboard Invitational Superpipe, the World Skiing Invitational Salomon Superpipe, Super Demo Days and Canadian Technical Skiing Championships are all free events to watch, but they do require a lift ticket to get to the competition venues.
